February 27, 2015— “arc”—the debut project from new artist “noa”—is a 12-track recipe for “Chiaroscuro” artistry, mirroring the light and dark aspects of human nature. From the sex-laced tune “Ratchet,” with nods to “50 Shades of Grey” naughty, to the djembe-infused, contemplative “Hymns,” a homage to a young man’s struggle to achieve his dreams, this album tackles social mores with thoughtful introspection without taking itself too seriously.

“arc,” a three-year labor of love, is distinctly organic, says noa, who credits the project’s homegrown sound to its humble basement origins where he toiled and collaborated with emerging talents like Franky Murdock, co-founder of the Dope Collective. Murdock is featured on Track 8’s “Possessive,” a perverted tale of love gone awry.

“Artists have a responsibility to bridge the divides that separate us and elevate the spirit,” says noa, president of RiteMinds, a group of artists dedicated to self-expression and artistic integrity. In support of this guiding principle RiteMinds is a self-sufficient entity responsible for the creative development, marketing and distribution of its artists’ works.

noa’s music is steeped in love and pain; a coming-of-age biography of an ambitious young man’s journey and the trials and tribulations on the road to creating a legacy. “The idea behind [arc] conceptually was to create an experience that everyone could connect to and find pieces of themselves within.”

noa is currently working on his second video in support of the album. (His first video was for “Have You Ever Said Never” is available on vimeo.com/dreamofnoa). Plans for a summer tour with other members of RitEMinds is also in the works. To learn more about “arc” and its creator, noa, contact him through social media: @dreamofnoa.
